Village Playgroup – Family Resource Centre
Welcome to Our Family Resource Centre

Our drop-in playgroup is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive Family Resource Centre that builds a strong sense of community for children, families, and caregivers. We strive to create a space where everyone feels heard, respected, supported, and genuinely welcomed.
There is no cost to attend our program. We welcome families, parents, guardians, caregivers, and nannies caring for children from birth to age five.
Our learning experiences are thoughtfully designed around children’s interests, strengths, and developmental stages. Activities promote:
- Play and exploration
- Creative expression
- Inquiry-based learning
- Social interaction
- Self-regulation and empathy
- Turn-taking
- Daily routines that help prepare children for child care or school
The program is facilitated by a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with extensive experience in early learning and child development. Through warm, responsive interactions, she fosters a deep sense of belonging and well-being for all families who visit.
We are committed to offering equitable, inclusive, and accessible programming. If you have suggestions for making the space even more welcoming or if you or your child require accommodations or additional support, we encourage you to let us know—your feedback matters.
